There's the moments of adversity and the people who don't believe in you (okay, so it wasn't a coach or a teacher at an inner city school, it was just my sister, but disappointment hurts, yeah?)</div><div><br /></div><div>BACK TO THE POINT. I decided to kick things off with easier recipes, starting off with my favorite of all desserts, the ever so portable and forgiving cookie. </div><div><br /></div><div>Hey, you finish one. Sure, you're sad it's gone. But there's plenty more cookies in the jar. </div><div><br /></div><div>I attempted snickerdoodle, as hey, the name sounds fun enough. And guess what? The texture did not resemble bricks, nor rocks, but rather a dreamy pillow of sugary goodness. The tops were covered with a slight rain of cinnamon and sugar, and the taste, well the taste was somewhat unappealing to those who'd tried it. But hey, it's progress.</div><div><br /></div><div>After that, I decided to make <a href="http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Pinwheel-Cookies/Detail.aspx">Chocolate Pinwheel Cookies</a>. Which are synonymous to bliss when prepared well and eaten warm. </div><div><br /></div><div>Then continued to procrastinate terribly and went on a DELICIOUS website called <a href="http://foodgawker.com">foodgawker</a>. Decided to try baking Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodle. Daring, yes.
