The whole scene plays out somewhat like an inspirational movie. There's the moments of adversity and the people who don't believe in you (okay, so it wasn't a coach or a teacher at an inner city school, it was just my sister, but disappointment hurts, yeah?)
BACK TO THE POINT. I decided to kick things off with easier recipes, starting off with my favorite of all desserts, the ever so portable and forgiving cookie.
Hey, you finish one. Sure, you're sad it's gone. But there's plenty more cookies in the jar.
I attempted snickerdoodle, as hey, the name sounds fun enough. And guess what? The texture did not resemble bricks, nor rocks, but rather a dreamy pillow of sugary goodness. The tops were covered with a slight rain of cinnamon and sugar, and the taste, well the taste was somewhat unappealing to those who'd tried it. But hey, it's progress.
After that, I decided to make Chocolate Pinwheel Cookies. Which are synonymous to bliss when prepared well and eaten warm.
Then continued to procrastinate terribly and went on a DELICIOUS website called foodgawker. Decided to try baking Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodle. Daring, yes. Also went to the Post Punk Kitchen's website, and was inspired to start a bake sale aiding those in the Haiti earthquake.
*Must retrieve camera from depths of sister's purse.*
